Most referral programmes pay you once and move on. We think that misses the point.
If you introduce a business to SSBS and they go on to build a better operation because of it, you should share in that on an ongoing basis. Your reputation brought them to us. Your relationship helped them trust the process. That is worth more than a thank-you and a cheque.

You introduce
You refer a business owner, director, or decision-maker to Small Step Big Step. That is it. No selling on our behalf, no proposals, no technical knowledge required. You make the introduction. We do the rest.
We deliver
We run our process: the Opportunity Blueprint assessment, then an AIOS retainer scoped to what the business actually needs. You stay in the background. We handle everything.
You earn
Once the client is on a monthly retainer, you receive 10% of their monthly fee, every month, for the lifetime of their contract with us. Paid quarterly, directly to you.
10% of the retainer. Every month. No cap.
Two clients on a £2,500 retainer earns you £6,000 a year. Five clients at that level is £15,000. At higher retainer tiers, a handful of introductions builds a meaningful, recurring income that grows passively alongside your existing business.
Commission applies to the monthly retainer only. It does not apply to one-off project fees or the Opportunity Blueprint assessment.

The partner programme works best for professionals who already have relationships with the kind of businesses SSBS serves.
You do not need to understand the technology. You need to know a business owner who is stretched, whose team is doing work that should be automated, or who knows they should be doing something with AI but does not know where to start. That conversation is enough.

Your commission continues for the lifetime of the client's continuous contract with Small Step Big Step. If a client upgrades to a higher retainer tier, your commission increases accordingly. If a client reduces their retainer, your commission adjusts to match.
The one condition: commission is paid on active, paying clients. If a client pauses or cancels their retainer, commission pauses or stops at the same time.

We do not hide how our retainers are structured. Our clients know what they pay. Our partners know what they earn. There are no complex tiers, clawback periods, or qualification thresholds.

When do payments start?
Commission begins from the client's first full month on retainer. There is no delay or probationary period.
What if my introduction takes a Blueprint but not a retainer?
Commission applies only to retainer clients. There is no commission on Blueprint fees. If a Blueprint client does not convert to a retainer, no commission is payable, but if they come back six months later and go on retainer, your original introduction is honoured.
Can I refer more than one client?
Yes. There is no limit to the number of introductions you can make or the number of clients whose retainer generates commission for you.
Do I need to be UK-based?
Our clients are UK businesses. Our partners do not need to be based in the UK, but the businesses you refer should be.
Is there a formal agreement?
Yes. Once you make your first introduction, we issue a simple partner agreement covering commission rate, payment terms, and confidentiality. Nothing complex.
